Cricket Australia Announce 2023-24 Series Schedule
The Cricket Australia schedule for the forthcoming summer season 2023-24 has been released. Australia and Pakistan will begin the 2023-24 season with a three-match Test series in December. CA has also released the schedule for the women’s squad alongside the men’s team.
India will host the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup in October and November of this year. Next, Australia will face India in a white-ball series. Then, Australia will play a Test series against Pakistan, which will be their first home series of the summer. The Test series against Pakistan will be a part of the subsequent World Test Championship cycle. In June, the Test Championship will commence with the Ashes.
Last year, Australia played in Pakistan. Pakistan will now travel to Australia. The first Test of the series will commence on December 14 in Perth, followed by the historic Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The series will conclude with the Sydney Cricket Ground New Year’s Test in 2024.
In addition, West Indies will compete in Australia. In February, they will play three ODIs and three T20Is. Prior to this, there will be two Test matches in January. Australia’s 2023-24 summer season will conclude in February 2024 with a Twenty20 series against the West Indies.
In October of this year, Australia’s women’s team season will commence with a Twenty20 series against the West Indies. In February of next year, their season will conclude with a Test against South Africa.
